Sausages and Onions in a Slow Cooker

Here’s a simple and flavorful Sausages and Onions in a Slow Cooker recipe πŸŒ­πŸ§…


Ingredients

  • 6–8 Sausage (Italian, smoked, or your choice)
  • 2 large Onion, sliced
  • 1 Bell Pepper, sliced (optional)
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce or crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • Β½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • Β½ teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base
    Slice the onions and bell peppers and place them at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Add sausages
    Place the sausages on top of the vegetables.
  3. Add sauce and seasoning
    Pour tomato sauce over everything. Add garlic, olive oil, oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Cook
    • Cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or
    • HIGH for 3–4 hours
  5. Serve
    Serve the sausages and onions over:

    • Rice
    • Pasta
    • Mashed Potatoes
    • or inside Bread Roll for a sandwich.
