Chicken Fritters

Servings: 4

Cook Time: 15–20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) cooked chicken, shredded or finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup milk (optional, for moisture)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Mixture
    • In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, flour, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, green onions, garlic, salt, and pepper.
    • If mixture feels dry, add a little milk to help bind.
  2. Shape Fritters
    • Form small patties (about 2–3 inches in diameter) with your hands.
  3. Heat Oil
    • In a skillet, heat 2–3 tablespoons of oil over medium heat.
  4. Cook Fritters
    • Fry patties 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and heated through.
    • Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  5. Serve
    • Serve warm with a dipping sauce: ranch, garlic aioli, or sweet chili sauce.

💡 Tips:

  • For extra crunch, coat fritters lightly in flour or breadcrumbs before frying.
  • You can mix in shredded veggies like carrot or zucchini for added flavor and nutrition.
  • Oven-bake option: Place fritters on a greased baking sheet at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway.
