Here’s a classic Dried Beef Cheese Ball recipe—perfect for parties, snacks, or appetizer platters. 🧀🥩

Dried Beef Cheese Ball

Ingredients (Serves 6–8)

  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 4 oz (115 g) cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz (115 g) dried beef, finely chopped
  • 2–3 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (for rolling)
  • Optional: 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley for extra flavor

Instructions

1. Prepare the cheese mixture

  1. In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar, and butter until smooth.
  2. Stir in chopped dried beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and parsley if using.

2. Form the ball

  • Shape the mixture into a tight ball using your hands or a piece of plastic wrap.
  • Chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour to firm up.

3. Coat the cheese ball

  • Spread chopped nuts on a plate.
  • Roll the chilled cheese ball in nuts until fully coated.

4. Serve

  • Place on a serving platter.
  • Serve with crackers, breadsticks, or vegetable sticks.

Tips

  • For extra flavor, add a dash of hot sauce or smoked paprika to the cheese mixture.
  • Make ahead: can be stored covered in the fridge for 3–4 days.
  • For a smaller version, make mini cheese balls for individual servings.

If you want, I can also give a quick 10-minute shortcut version that uses ready-to-eat dried beef slices and makes a creamy, spreadable cheese ball for immediate snacking.
