Baked crab legs

Posted on March 28, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple and flavorful Baked Crab Legs recipe—perfect for a quick seafood feast:

Ingredients (serves 2–4)

  • 2 lbs crab legs (king or snow crab)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: paprika or Old Bay seasoning for extra flavor
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare crab legs
    • If frozen, thaw under cold water or overnight in the fridge.
    • Pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Make garlic butter
    • Combine melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
    • Optional: stir in paprika or Old Bay seasoning.
  4. Bake crab legs
    • Place crab legs on the baking sheet and brush generously with garlic butter.
    • Cover loosely with foil to prevent drying out.
    • Bake 15–20 minutes, until heated through (internal temperature ~145°F / 63°C).
  5. Serve
    • Brush with extra garlic butter before serving.
    • Serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Tips for best results:

  • Don’t overbake—crab legs are already cooked, so you’re really just reheating and infusing flavor.
  • You can also broil for 3–5 minutes after baking for a slightly caramelized finish.
  • Serve with garlic mashed potatoes or a fresh salad for a complete meal.

If you want, I can also give a one-pan baked crab legs with veggies version that’s easy for weeknight dinners.
