Posted on March 30, 2026 by Admin

Here’s an easy, family-friendly Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna recipe—no boiling noodles required! It’s cheesy, hearty, and perfect for busy days.

Ingredients (serves 6–8)

  • 1 bag (20–25 oz / 600–700 g) frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef or Italian sausage (optional; skip for vegetarian)
  • 1 jar (24 oz / 680 g) marinara or pasta sauce
  • 1 can (14–15 oz) crushed tomatoes (optional, for extra sauce)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese (optional but recommended for creaminess)

Instructions

1. Cook the Meat (if using)

  • In a skillet, cook ground beef or sausage with diced onion until browned.
  • Add garlic and cook 1 minute more.
  • Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in marinara sauce, crushed tomatoes (if using), and Italian seasoning.

2. Layer in Crockpot

  • Lightly grease the crockpot.
  • Spread a thin layer of sauce on the bottom.
  • Add a layer of frozen ravioli.
  • Spoon some meat sauce over ravioli.
  • Add small dollops of ricotta (if using), then sprinkle mozzarella.

👉 Repeat layers until ingredients are used, finishing with sauce and a generous layer of mozzarella and Parmesan on top.

3. Cook

  • Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours
  • It’s done when ravioli are tender and cheese is melted and bubbly

4. Serve

  • Let sit for 10–15 minutes before serving (helps it set)
  • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired

Tips for Best Results

  • ✅ No need to thaw ravioli—use straight from frozen
  • 🧀 Add extra cheese on top in the last 20 minutes for a gooey finish
  • 🌿 Use spinach or mushroom ravioli for a vegetarian version
  • 🔥 Want crispy edges? Transfer to an oven dish and broil for 5 minutes

Optional Variations

  • Add spinach or zucchini for extra veggies
  • Use Alfredo sauce + marinara for a creamy “rose” version
  • Swap meat for lentils or plant-based mince

If you want, I can give you a super creamy “ultimate cheesy” version or a low-cost budget version using fewer ingredients—just tell me 👍
