Sticky Honey Garlic Ribs Recipe

Posted on April 3, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a delicious Sticky Honey Garlic Ribs recipe—sweet, savory, and perfectly sticky 🍯🧄

🍖 Sticky Honey Garlic Ribs

Ingredients (Serves 4)

For the ribs:

  • 2 lbs (900 g) pork ribs
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the honey garlic sauce:

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup (optional for color & tang)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (optional for heat)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tsp water (for thickening)

Garnish:

  • Sesame seeds
  • Chopped green onions

Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the ribs

  1. Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs if needed.
  2. Season ribs with salt and pepper.

2️⃣ Cook the ribs

Oven method:

  • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • Place ribs on a foil-lined baking tray. Cover with foil and bake for 2–2.5 hours until tender.

Optional stovetop:

  • Simmer ribs in a covered pot with a little water for 1.5–2 hours until tender.

3️⃣ Make the honey garlic sauce

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, garlic, soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, and chili flakes.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Add cornstarch slurry to thicken and stir until glossy.

4️⃣ Glaze the ribs

  1. Once ribs are tender, brush the honey garlic sauce generously over them.
  2. Optional: broil in the oven for 3–5 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
  3. Turn and brush the other side, broiling again if desired.

5️⃣ Serve

  • Cut ribs into individual portions.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
  • Serve hot with rice or mashed potatoes.

💡 Tips:

  • For extra flavor, marinate ribs in a little soy sauce, garlic, and honey for 1–2 hours before cooking.
  • Slow-cooked ribs become incredibly tender, but broiling at the end gives that sticky, caramelized finish.
  • Use boneless ribs for faster cooking if short on time.

If you want, I can also give a quick 30-minute version that uses pressure cooking or air fryer but still gives sticky, finger-licking ribs.

Do you want me to do that?
