Here’s a simple, restaurant-style broiled or grilled lobster tail recipe—juicy, buttery, and easy to make at home.

🦞🔥 Broiled / Grilled Lobster Tail

Ingredients:

  • 2–4 lobster tails (fresh or thawed)
  • 4 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 2–3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (for color + mild heat)
  • Optional: parsley (chopped)

🔪 Prep the lobster:

  1. Using kitchen scissors, cut the top shell down the middle.
  2. Gently loosen the meat and lift it slightly out of the shell, keeping it attached at the base (this is called “piggyback style”).

🔥 Broiled Lobster Tail (Oven method)

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F) on broil setting.
  2. Place lobster tails on a baking tray.
  3. Mix melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Brush generously over lobster meat.
  5. Broil for 8–12 minutes, depending on size.
    • Meat should turn opaque and slightly golden on top.
  6. Brush with more butter before serving.

🔥 Grilled Lobster Tail (BBQ method)

Steps:

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Brush lobster with butter mixture.
  3. Place meat side down first for 3–4 minutes.
  4. Flip shell side down and grill another 5–6 minutes.
  5. Baste with butter while grilling.

🍋 Serving ideas:

  • Serve with lemon wedges
  • Garlic butter sauce on the side
  • Pair with rice, mashed potatoes, or grilled vegetables

💡 Tips:

  • Don’t overcook—lobster becomes rubbery quickly
  • Internal meat should reach opaque white and about 60–63°C if you use a thermometer
  • Fresh butter basting at the end makes a big difference

If you want, I can also give you a restaurant-style garlic butter lobster (Red Lobster copycat) or a spicy peri-peri grilled version 👍
