Oh heck yes—Crack Chicken Tacos are dangerously good 🌮🔥
Creamy, cheesy, ranch-y, bacon-y… let’s do this.


Crack Chicken Tacos

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (or Colby-Jack)
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Small flour or corn tortillas

Instructions (Slow Cooker – easiest)

  1. Load it up
    Place chicken in the slow cooker. Sprinkle ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and pepper over the top.
  2. Add the creamy stuff
    Pour in chicken broth. Place cream cheese on top (no need to stir yet).
  3. Cook
    • Low: 6–7 hours
    • High: 3–4 hours
  4. Shred & mix
    Shred chicken right in the slow cooker. Stir until cream cheese is fully melted and creamy.
  5. Finish it
    Stir in shredded cheese and bacon. Cover for 5–10 minutes until melted.

Assemble the Tacos

Spoon chicken into warm tortillas and top with:

  • Green onions
  • Extra bacon
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Jalapeños or hot sauce 🌶️

Fast Variations

  • Instant Pot: 12 minutes high pressure + natural release
  • Stovetop: Simmer shredded rotisserie chicken with all ingredients until creamy
  • Low-carb: Serve in lettuce wraps or over cauliflower rice
