Low Carb Crustless Pizza Bowl

Posted on February 17, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a tasty Low-Carb Crustless Pizza Bowl recipe—full of flavor but without the carbs from the crust:

Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef, turkey, or chicken
  • 1 cup chopped bell peppers (any color)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sugar-free pizza sauce or marinara
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or blend of mozzarella & cheddar)
  • Optional toppings: sliced olives, pepperoni slices, mushrooms, or fresh basil

Instructions

1. Cook the Meat & Veggies

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add onion, garlic, and bell peppers. Sauté 4–5 minutes until softened.

2. Season & Add Sauce

  1. Stir in pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  2. Simmer 3–5 minutes to let flavors meld.

3. Assemble the Pizza Bowl

  1. Spoon the meat and veggie mixture into an oven-safe bowl or skillet.
  2. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top.

4. Melt the Cheese

  1. Preheat your broiler or oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Broil or bake for 3–5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

5. Serve

  • Top with optional ingredients like olives, pepperoni, or fresh basil.
  • Enjoy with a side salad for a full low-carb meal.

💡 Tip: You can make this ahead in meal prep containers and just reheat with cheese before serving.

If you want, I can also give you a keto-friendly version using cauliflower and egg to “hold” the pizza bowl together—even closer to a pizza texture without crust. Do you want that version too?
