For the stir-fry:

1 lb (450g) chicken breast or thighs, thinly sliced

1 tbsp oil (vegetable, peanut, or sesame)

3β4 cups green or Napa cabbage, chopped

1 medium carrot, julienned or thinly sliced (optional)

2β3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp fresh ginger, grated (optional but flavorful)

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
For the sauce:

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional, for depth)

1 tsp cornstarch

1/2 tsp sugar

1/4 cup water
-
1 tsp sesame oil (for flavor)

1. Prep the sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, water, and sesame oil. Set aside.
2. Cook the chicken

Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Add chicken, season lightly with salt and pepper, and stir-fry for 4β5 minutes, until golden and cooked through.

Remove chicken from pan and set aside.
3. Stir-fry the veggies
