Here’s a rich and satisfying Creamy Shrimp Fettuccine Pasta recipe — made with tender shrimp, al dente fettuccine, and a luscious garlic parmesan cream sauce. It’s quick enough for weeknights but impressive enough for guests!

✅ Ingredients:

For the pasta & shrimp:

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta

  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 tsp paprika or chili flakes (optional)

For the creamy sauce:

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/4 tsp salt (to taste)

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • Optional: 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning or a squeeze of lemon juice

  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)


🍳 Instructions:

1. Cook the pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

  • Cook fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Sauté the shrimp

  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp olive oil or butter over medium heat.

  • Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika or chili flakes.

  • Cook for 1–2 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque.

  • Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

3. Make the cream sauce

  • In the same skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter.

  • Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds, until fragrant.

  • Pour in the cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

  • Stir in Parmesan, salt, pepper, and optional herbs.

  • Simmer for 2–3 minutes, until slightly thickened.

4. Combine everything

  • Add cooked fettuccine and shrimp to the skillet.

  • Toss everything together gently until coated in sauce.

  • Simmer for 1 more minute, then remove from heat.

5. Serve

  • Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.

  • Serve immediately with a side of garlic bread or a green salad.


🔁 Optional Add-Ins:

  • Spinach or cherry tomatoes (add to sauce before tossing)

  • Mushrooms (sauté before adding garlic)

  • Lemon zest for brightness

  • White wine: Add a splash before the cream for depth
