Here’s a super easy and delicious Pecan Pie Dump Cake recipe — all the rich, nutty goodness of pecan pie but without the fuss of making a crust from scratch. You basically “dump” ingredients together and bake. Perfect for a quick dessert!


🥧 Pecan Pie Dump Cake

🕒 Prep Time: 5 minutes

⏲️ Bake Time: 45–50 minutes

🍽️ Serves: 8


Ingredients:

  • 1 can (21 oz) pecan pie filling (or use store-bought pecan pie filling)

  • 1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)

  • 1 cup chopped pecans (optional, for extra crunch)

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted


Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Layer Filling:

  • Spread the pecan pie filling evenly over the bottom of the dish.

3. Add Cake Mix:

  • Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the pecan pie filling.

4. Add Pecans:

  • Sprinkle chopped pecans evenly over the cake mix.

5. Pour Butter:

  • Drizzle melted butter evenly over the entire dish. Try to cover as much area as possible.

6. Bake:

  • Bake for 45–50 minutes, until the top is golden brown and bubbly around the edges.

7. Cool & Serve:

  • Let cool for 10–15 minutes before serving.

  • Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.


Tips:

  • For a richer flavor, use browned butter instead of melted butter.

  • Add a pinch of cinnamon to the cake mix for a warm spice note.

  • You can swap yellow cake mix for spice cake mix for a twist.
