Here’s a classic and flavorful Indian cuisine recipe you can try at home: Chicken Curry (Murgh Curry) 🍛


Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 500g Chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 large Onions, finely chopped
  • 2 Tomatoes, pureed
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece Ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh Cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat Oil and Spices
    Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle. Add onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add Ginger and Garlic
    Stir in ginger and garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add Tomatoes and Spices
    Mix in tomato puree, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until oil separates from the masala.
  4. Cook the Chicken
    Add chicken pieces, coating them well with the masala. Cover and cook on low heat for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Finish with Garam Masala
    Sprinkle garam masala and cook for another 5 minutes. Adjust salt and spice levels to taste.
  6. Garnish and Serve
    Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with Rice or Naan.

✅ Tip:
For a creamier curry, add 2 tablespoons of Yogurt or Coconut Milk during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
