Hawaiian ham and cheese sliders,

Posted on February 6, 2026 by Admin

Ohhh yes—Hawaiian ham and cheese sliders are a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Sweet, savory, buttery, and ridiculously easy. Here’s the classic oven-baked version everyone loves.

Hawaiian Ham & Cheese Sliders

Serves: 6–8
Prep time: 10 minutes
Bake time: 15–20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls (do not separate)
  • ¾ lb sliced ham (honey ham works great)
  • 6–8 slices Swiss cheese (or provolone)
  • ¼ cup butter, melted

Buttery Topping

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions

1. Prep

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Assemble Sliders

  1. Slice the entire slab of rolls horizontally (keep tops and bottoms intact).
  2. Place bottom half in the baking dish.
  3. Layer ham evenly.
  4. Add cheese slices.
  5. Place roll tops back on.

3. Make the Butter Sauce

In a bowl, whisk together:

  • Melted butter
  • Dijon mustard
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Brown sugar
  • Onion powder
  • Garlic powder
  • Poppy seeds (if using)

4. Bake

  1. Pour butter mixture evenly over the sliders.
  2. Cover loosely with foil.
  3. Bake 15 minutes.
  4. Remove foil and bake 5 more minutes, until tops are golden and cheese is melty.

Serve

  • Let rest 5 minutes, then slice and serve warm.

Tips & Variations

  • Extra cheesy: Add an extra layer of cheese.
  • Crispy bottoms: Toast the bottom rolls lightly before assembling.
  • Spicy kick: Add sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the butter.
  • Make ahead: Assemble, cover, refrigerate up to 24 hours—bake when ready.

These disappear FAST at parties 😄
If you want, I can share a Hawaiian slider flavor trio (ham & cheese, turkey & cheddar, roast beef & provolone) all baked in one pan for a crowd.
