Here’s a simple and tasty Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus recipe that’s crispy, savory, and perfect as a side dish:


Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1 bunch asparagus (about 12–16 spears)
  • 6–8 slices bacon (cut in half if needed)
  • 1–2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: garlic powder, paprika, or Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Prepare asparagus
    • Wash and trim the tough ends (about 1–2 inches from the bottom).
    • Toss lightly with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Wrap with bacon
    • Take 2–3 asparagus spears and wrap a slice of bacon around them.
    • Repeat until all asparagus is wrapped.
  4. Bake
    • Place wrapped bundles on the baking sheet seam-side down.
    • Bake 20–25 minutes until bacon is crispy and asparagus is tender.
    • Optional: Broil 1–2 minutes at the end for extra crispiness.
  5. Serve
    • Sprinkle with optional garlic powder, paprika, or grated Parmesan for extra flavor.

Tips for best results:

  • Choose thin asparagus for easier wrapping.
  • Don’t overlap bacon too much—this ensures even cooking.
  • Can also grill for a smoky flavor.
