Here’s a tender, juicy BBQ country-style ribs recipe—perfect whether you finish them in the oven or on the grill.


🍖 BBQ Country-Style Ribs

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1–1.5 kg country-style pork ribs
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp chili powder (optional for heat)
  • 2 tbsp oil

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prep the ribs

  • Pat ribs dry.
  • Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and chili powder.
  • Rub seasoning all over the ribs.

2. Sear (optional but adds flavor)

  • Heat oil in a pan and sear ribs 2–3 minutes per side until browned.

3. Bake low and slow

  • Preheat oven to 150°C (300°F)
  • Place ribs in a baking dish and cover tightly with foil
  • Bake for 2.5–3 hours until very tender

4. Add BBQ sauce

  • Remove foil, brush generously with BBQ sauce
  • Increase oven to 200°C (400°F)
  • Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes until sticky and caramelized

🔥 Optional grill finish (best flavor!)

  • After baking, grill ribs for 5–10 minutes, turning and basting with more sauce

  • The key is low and slow cooking for tenderness
  • Let ribs rest 5–10 minutes before serving
