🦞 Butter-Poached Lobster (Recipe)

🧾 Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 2 lobster tails or whole lobster
    Lobster
  • 200g unsalted butter (cut into cubes)
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • White pepper (optional)
  • Fresh thyme or parsley (optional)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prepare the lobster

  • If using whole lobster, remove meat from shell (or split tails)
  • Pat dry and lightly season with salt

2. Start the butter base

  • In a small pan, melt butter on very low heat
  • Add garlic and herbs (do NOT let butter brown)

3. Poach the lobster

  • Add lobster pieces into the warm butter
  • Keep temperature low (around 60–70°C / 140–160°F)

4. Finish the sauce

  • Add lemon juice at the end
  • Adjust salt and pepper
