Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars

Posted on April 3, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a delicious, no-bake Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars recipe—sweet, crunchy, and perfect for a treat.

Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars

Ingredients

Base & Crunch Layer:

  • 3 cups rice cereal (like Rice Krispies)
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

Caramel Layer:

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Chocolate Topping:

  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base:
    • In a large bowl, combine rice cereal, graham cracker crumbs, and melted butter.
    • Press evenly into a 9×13-inch pan lined with parchment paper.
  2. Make the caramel:
    • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup.
    • Stir constantly and bring to a gentle boil, cooking 3–5 minutes until thickened.
    • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  3. Layer the caramel:
    • Pour the caramel over the cereal base and spread evenly.
    • Let it cool for 15–20 minutes.
  4. Chocolate topping:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, melt chocolate chips and butter together until smooth.
    • Spread evenly over the caramel layer.
  5. Chill and set:
    • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until chocolate is firm.
  6. Slice and serve:
    • Lift from pan using parchment paper and cut into bars.

Tips

  • For extra crunch, add chopped nuts (like pecans or almonds) to the base or sprinkle on top.
  • Store bars in the fridge—they hold together better and stay chewy.
  • For a salty-sweet twist, sprinkle sea salt over the chocolate before it sets.

If you want, I can also give a shortcut 3-layer version using only cereal, caramel, and chocolate that’s quicker but just as decadent. Do you want me to include that?
