🥔🧀 Cheesy Bacon Ranch Potatoes

🥄 Ingredients (serves 4–6)

  • 1.5 kg potatoes (baby potatoes or diced regular potatoes)
  • 6–8 slices bacon
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (or 2–3 tbsp)
  • 1 to 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2–3 tbsp chopped green onions (optional)
  • 2–3 tbsp sour cream (optional, for serving)

🍳 Instructions

1. Prep the potatoes

  • Wash and cut potatoes into bite-sized chunks (if not using baby potatoes)
  • Pat dry for better crisping

2. Season

  • Toss potatoes with:
    • Olive oil or melted butter
    • Salt, pepper, garlic powder
    • Ranch seasoning

3. Bake the potatoes

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F)
  • Spread potatoes on a baking tray in a single layer
  • Bake for 35–45 minutes, flipping halfway
  • Cook until golden and crispy outside, soft inside

4. Cook the bacon

  • Fry bacon until crispy
  • Drain on paper towels
  • Chop into small pieces

5. Add cheese & bacon

  • Remove potatoes from oven
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese and bacon over hot potatoes
  • Return to oven for 5–7 minutes until cheese melts

6. Finish & serve

  • Top with green onions
  • Add sour cream if desired
  • Serve hot and gooey

🧠 Tips

  • For extra crispiness, soak cut potatoes in water for 20–30 minutes before baking
  • Use smoked paprika for deeper flavor
  • You can air-fry at 200°C for about 20–25 minutes instead of baking
