Cheesy Dip with Tortilla Chips 🧀🌶️

A warm, creamy dip that’s perfect for parties, movie nights, or quick snacks.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 tablespoon All-purpose Flour
  • ½ cup diced Tomatoes (or salsa)
  • 1 small Jalapeño, finely chopped (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • Salt and Black Pepper to taste
  • Tortilla Chips for serving

Instructions

1. Make the base

  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Stir in flour and cook for about 1 minute, whisking constantly.

2. Add milk

  • Slowly pour in milk while whisking to avoid lumps.
  • Cook until the mixture thickens slightly.

3. Add the cheese

  • Lower the heat and stir in cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese until fully melted and smooth.

4. Add flavor

  • Stir in diced tomatoes, jalapeño, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

5. Serve

  • Pour the warm cheese dip into a bowl and serve immediately with tortilla chips.

Optional Toppings

You can also add:

  • Cooked Ground Beef
  • Black Beans
  • Green Onions
