Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar or Mexican cheese blend
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • ½ cup salsa or diced tomatoes
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, sour cream, avocado, jalapeños

Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Beef

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula.
  3. Drain excess fat if needed.
  4. Add onion, garlic, chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cook 3–4 more minutes until onions are soft and spices are fragrant.

2️⃣ Assemble the Wraps

  1. Warm tortillas in a pan or microwave for 10–15 seconds.
  2. Place a scoop of the cooked beef mixture on each tortilla.
  3. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the beef while it’s hot so it melts slightly.
  4. Add optional toppings: lettuce, salsa, avocado, sour cream, or jalapeños.

3️⃣ Roll and Serve

  • Fold in the sides and roll the tortilla tightly.
  • Serve immediately, or wrap in foil for lunch on the go.

  • Extra cheesy: Add a slice of cheese before rolling and press in a hot skillet for a crispy, melty finish.
