🍄 Cream of Mushroom Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk or cream
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the mushrooms

  • Melt butter in a pot over medium heat.
  • Add onions and cook until soft.
  • Add garlic and sliced mushrooms.
  • Cook 5–7 minutes until mushrooms release their juices.

2️⃣ Make the base

  • Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms.
  • Stir well and cook for 1–2 minutes.

3️⃣ Add liquid

  • Slowly pour in the broth while stirring to avoid lumps.
  • Let it simmer for 10 minutes.

4️⃣ Add cream

  • Stir in milk or cream.
  • Cook another 5 minutes until slightly thick.

5️⃣ Season and serve

  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
