dream cake

Absolutely! Here’s a classic Dream Cake recipe — soft, fluffy, and topped with a dreamy coconut-pastry cream frosting 🍰✨. This is sometimes called “Coconut Dream Cake” or “Magic Dream Cake.”

Dream Cake

Ingredients

For the Cake:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup whole milk

For the Dream Topping (Coconut Frosting):

  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

1. Bake the Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with flour. Mix until just combined.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

2. Prepare the Dream Topping

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk.
  2. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until warm (do not boil).
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and shredded coconut. Add nuts if desired.

3. Combine

  1. When the cake comes out of the oven, poke holes all over the surface with a fork or skewer.
  2. Pour the warm coconut topping over the hot cake, letting it soak in.
  3. Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 1–2 hours before serving to let it set.

Tips

  • For extra moistness, warm the topping slightly before pouring.
  • Can be made in layers if desired: bake two 9-inch cakes and sandwich with coconut topping.
  • Top with whipped cream for an even richer dessert.

If you want, I can also give a “quick 1-hour version of Dream Cake” that’s extra fluffy and super easy to make without multiple steps.

Do you want me to do that?
