Posted on March 14, 2026 by Admin

🍑 Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

A classic Southern-style dessert made with juicy peaches and a buttery crust. The star ingredient is ripe Peach, baked until soft and sweet.

Ingredients

For the peach filling

  • 5–6 fresh peaches (peeled and sliced)
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • 2 tbsp butter

For the cobbler topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup melted butter

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the peaches

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix peach slices, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, cornstarch, and cinnamon.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and dot with butter.

2️⃣ Make the batter

  1. In another bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Stir in milk and melted butter until a smooth batter forms.

3️⃣ Assemble

  • Pour the batter evenly over the peaches.
  • Do not stir; the batter will rise during baking.

4️⃣ Bake

  • Bake for 40–45 minutes until the top is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbling.

🍨 Serving Tip

Serve warm with:

  • A scoop of Vanilla ice cream
  • Or fresh whipped cream

The warm cobbler with cold ice cream is a classic Southern comfort dessert.

✅ Pro tip: If fresh peaches aren’t available, you can substitute canned or frozen peaches, but fresh peaches give the best flavor and texture.
