🍗 Fried Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (900 g) chicken wings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cornstarch (for extra crispiness)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 1 cup buttermilk (or milk)
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Wings

  • Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  • Place them in a bowl with buttermilk and let them soak for 20–30 minutes.

2️⃣ Make the Coating

  • In another bowl mix:
    • Flour
    • Cornstarch
    • Salt
    • Pepper
    • Garlic powder
    • Paprika
    • Cayenne (optional)

3️⃣ Coat the Wings

  • Remove wings from buttermilk and let excess drip off.
  • Dredge each wing in the flour mixture, coating well.

4️⃣ Heat the Oil

  • Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).

5️⃣ Fry the Wings

  • Fry wings in batches for 8–10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).

6️⃣ Drain and Serve

  • Remove wings and place on paper towels or a wire rack.
  • Serve hot with your favorite sauces.

Optional Sauces

  • Buffalo Sauce
  • Barbecue Sauce
  • Honey Garlic Sauce

✅ Tip for extra crispy wings:
After coating, let wings rest 10 minutes before frying—this helps the coating stick better.
