Here’s a simple, flavorful way to cook frozen, raw shrimp without thawing for hours—quick, safe, and delicious.

🍤 Garlic Butter Shrimp (from frozen)

🛒 Ingredients (serves 2–3)

  • 500g frozen raw shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • ½ tsp smoked Paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prep the shrimp

  • Rinse frozen shrimp under cold water for 1–2 minutes to remove ice crystals.
  • Pat dry with paper towels.

2. Heat the pan

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add shrimp in a single layer.

3. Cook from frozen

  • Sear shrimp for 2–3 minutes on each side, until pink and opaque.
  • Sprinkle salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes.

🔹 Tip: Avoid overcrowding the pan—work in batches if needed.

4. Add garlic and butter

  • Reduce heat to medium.
  • Push shrimp to the sides, add butter and garlic to the center.
  • Sauté garlic 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  • Toss shrimp in butter-garlic mixture.

5. Finish with lemon and parsley

  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over shrimp.
  • Sprinkle chopped parsley.
  • Toss and serve immediately.

🔥 Quick tips

  • Don’t thaw shrimp fully—cooks faster and avoids sogginess.
  • Shrimp cooks very fast—watch closely to prevent rubbery texture.
  • Add a splash of white wine or broth to the pan for extra flavor.
