Honey Garlic Pork Chops

Ingredients (Serves 3–4)

  • 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter

Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar (apple cider or white)
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)

Instructions

1. Season the pork

  • Pat pork chops dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.

2. Sear the chops

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook pork chops for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and nearly cooked through.
  3. Remove and set aside.

3. Make the sauce

  1. In the same pan, lower heat to medium.
  2. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds (don’t burn).
  3. Stir in honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and chili flakes.

4. Thicken the sauce

  • Add the cornstarch mixture and stir until sauce thickens (1–2 minutes).

5. Combine

  • Return pork chops to the pan.
  • Spoon sauce over them and cook 2–3 minutes until fully cooked and glazed.

6. Serve

  • Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions.
  • Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or vegetables.

Tips

  • Don’t overcook pork—keep it juicy by cooking just until done.
  • Add a squeeze of lemon for a fresh twist 🍋
