Absolutely! Here’s a rich and moist chocolate cake recipe that’s soft, fluffy, and incredibly chocolatey. 🍫🎂

Moist Chocolate Cake Recipe

Ingredients

For the Cake

  • 1¾ cups (220 g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups (400 g) sugar
  • ¾ cup (75 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk
  • ½ cup (120 ml) vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (240 ml) boiling water

For the Chocolate Frosting (Optional)

  • ½ cup (115 g) butter, softened
  • ⅔ cup (55 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 cups (360 g) powdered sugar
  • ⅓ cup (80 ml) milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until smooth.
  4. Stir in boiling water slowly (batter will be thin—this makes it moist).
  5. Pour batter evenly into prepared pans.

2. Bake

  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.

3. Prepare the Frosting (Optional)

  1. Beat butter until creamy.
  2. Gradually add cocoa powder and powdered sugar, alternating with milk, until smooth and spreadable.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract.

4. Assemble

  • Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread frosting evenly.
  • Place second layer on top and frost the top and sides.

Tips for Extra Moisture

  • Use coffee instead of boiling water for a deeper chocolate flavor.
  • Don’t overbake—check a few minutes before the timer.
  • Let the cake rest a few hours; it develops even better texture.

If you want, I can also give a “super moist one-bowl chocolate cake recipe” that’s ready in 30 minutes with no layers, no fuss, but incredibly soft—perfect for quick baking.
