Here’s a delicious Olive, Bacon, and Cheese Bread recipe—perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a savory snack. 🥖🧀🥓

🥖 Olive, Bacon, and Cheese Bread Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F / 45°C)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)
  • 6–8 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
  • ½ cup chopped olives (black or green)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Dough

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm milk. Let it sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt.
  3. Add yeast mixture and melted butter. Mix until a soft dough forms.

2️⃣ Knead

  • Knead on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1–1.5 hours until doubled in size.

3️⃣ Add Fillings

  • Punch down the dough.
  • Flatten into a rectangle.
  • Sprinkle cheese, bacon, and olives evenly over the dough.
  • Roll up like a log and pinch edges to seal.

4️⃣ Second Rise

  • Place the loaf in a greased loaf pan or on a baking sheet.
  • Cover and let rise 30–40 minutes.

5️⃣ Bake

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Brush loaf with beaten egg for a golden crust.
  • Bake 30–35 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.

6️⃣ Cool & Serve

  • Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve warm as a snack, breakfast bread, or with soups and salads.

✅ Tip:

  • For extra flavor, add garlic powder, herbs, or a sprinkle of parmesan on top before baking.
  • Bacon can also be swapped for ham or cooked sausage.

If you want, I can also give you a quick 1-hour version of this bread that skips the long first rise but stays fluffy and flavorful. Do you want me to share it?
