Posted on February 8, 2026 by Admin

Oh yes—Philly Cheesesteak Sliders are perfect for game day, parties, or a fun weeknight meal. Mini sandwiches packed with tender steak, sautéed onions, peppers, and melty cheese—yum! 🧀🥩

Philly Cheesesteak Sliders Recipe

Ingredients (makes 12 sliders)

  • 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced (can use sirloin if easier)
  • 12 slider buns (or small dinner rolls)
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter or oil
  • 6–8 slices provolone cheese (or American cheese)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Optional: mayonnaise or cheese sauce

Instructions

  1. Prep the steak
    • Freeze steak for 15–20 minutes for easier slicing
    • Slice thinly against the grain and season lightly with salt & pepper
  2. Sauté the vegetables
    • In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat
    • Cook onions and peppers until soft and slightly caramelized (about 5–7 minutes)
    • Remove and set aside
  3. Cook the steak
    • In the same skillet, add a little oil if needed
    • Quickly cook the sliced steak over medium-high heat until just browned (2–3 minutes)
    • Return onions and peppers to the skillet and mix
  4. Assemble the sliders
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
    • Slice buns in half and layer steak & veggies
    • Top each with a slice of cheese
    • Place sliders on a baking sheet and bake 5–7 minutes until cheese is melted
  5. Serve warm
    • Optional: drizzle with mayonnaise or cheese sauce for extra indulgence

Tips

  • 🧈 Extra flavor: Toast the buns lightly in butter before adding fillings
  • 🌶 Spicy twist: Add sliced jalapeños or a few dashes of hot sauce
  • 🧄 Garlic lovers: Sauté onions with a minced garlic clove for aroma

If you want, I can also give a cheat version with frozen rolls and pre-cooked steak that’s ready in 15 minutes—super quick for last-minute gatherings.

Do you want me to do that?
