Here’s a simple, crispy potato slices recipe you can tweak a dozen ways depending on your mood.


Crispy Baked Potato Slices

Ingredients

  • 3–4 medium potatoes (russet or Yukon gold)
  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika (or smoked paprika)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven
    Preheat to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Slice the potatoes
    Cut into ¼-inch thick rounds. Try to keep them even so they cook evenly.
  3. Season
    Toss slices with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Arrange
    Lay in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet (don’t overlap).
  5. Bake
    • 20 minutes → flip
    • 15–20 more minutes until golden and crispy

Optional Flavor Boosts

  • Sprinkle parmesan during last 5 minutes
  • Add rosemary or thyme before baking
  • Finish with fresh parsley or chili flakes

Dipping Ideas

  • Garlic aioli
  • Ranch
  • Ketchup + hot sauce
  • Sour cream with chives

Want Them Extra Crispy?

  • Soak slices in cold water 20–30 minutes, then dry well
  • Use a dark metal pan
  • Finish with 2–3 minutes under the broiler (watch closely 👀)
