Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Sausage & Cheese Muffins—perfect for breakfast, snacks, or on-the-go meals 🧀🥓


Ingredients (Makes 12 muffins)

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup melted butter or vegetable oil
  • 1 cup cooked breakfast sausage, crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  • Grease a 12-cup muffin tin or line with paper liners

2. Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder

3. Mix Wet Ingredients

  • In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and melted butter

4. Combine Ingredients

  • Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined
  • Fold in cooked sausage, shredded cheese, and parsley

⚠️ Don’t overmix—the batter should be slightly lumpy


5. Fill Muffin Tin

  • Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups, filling about 2/3 full

6. Bake

  • Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean
  • Let muffins cool for a few minutes before removing from the tin

7. Serve

  • Enjoy warm, or store in an airtight container for up to 3 days
  • Can be reheated in the microwave for 20–30 seconds

Tips for Extra Flavor

  • Add chopped bell peppers or onions to the batter
  • Swap cheddar for pepper jack or mozzarella for a different twist
  • Sprinkle extra cheese on top before baking for a cheesy crust
