  • 1/2 cup milk (warm)

For the savory gravy:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth (or chicken broth)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt & black pepper to taste

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Make the mashed potatoes

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water for 15–20 minutes until fork-tender.
  2. Drain and mash until smooth.
  3. Add butter, warm milk, and salt.
  4. Mix until creamy and fluffy. Cover and keep warm.

2️⃣ Prepare the savory gravy

  1. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add flour and whisk continuously for 1–2 minutes (this makes a roux).
  3. Slowly pour in broth while whisking to avoid lumps.
