🥩🍤 Steak & Shrimp Stir-Fried Noodles

🛒 Ingredients (4 servings)

Protein

  • 8 oz flank steak (thinly sliced against the grain)
  • 8 oz shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (for marinade)
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Noodles

  • 12 oz lo mein noodles (or spaghetti as substitute)

Vegetables

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ cup beef or chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (to thicken)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Steak

  • Toss sliced steak with 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp cornstarch, and pepper.
  • Let sit 10–15 minutes.

2️⃣ Cook the Noodles

  • Boil according to package directions.
  • Drain and toss lightly with oil to prevent sticking.

3️⃣ Make the Sauce

  • Whisk together all sauce ingredients in a bowl. Set aside.

4️⃣ Sear the Steak

  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat.
  • Sear steak 1–2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

5️⃣ Cook the Shrimp

  • In the same pan, add a little oil if needed.
  • Cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove.

6️⃣ Stir-Fry Vegetables

  • Add garlic and ginger (30 seconds).
  • Add vegetables and stir-fry 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender.

7️⃣ Combine Everything

  • Return steak and shrimp to the pan.
  • Add noodles and pour in sauce.
  • Toss well and cook 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens and coats everything.

8️⃣ Finish

  • Sprinkle green onions on top.
  • Optional: drizzle extra sesame oil or chili oil.

🔥 Tips for Restaurant Flavor

  • Cook on high heat for slight charring.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan.
  • Slice steak very thin for tenderness.
  • Add a splash of rice vinegar for brightness.

🌶️ Optional Add-Ins

  • Snow peas
  • Bean sprouts
  • Chili flakes or sriracha
  • A squeeze of lime

If you’d like, I can also give you:

  • A quick 20-minute version
  • A spicy Thai-style variation
  • Or a lower-carb version without noodles

Which one sounds good? 🍜
