Here’s a sweet-and-spicy twist on chicken wings — Strawberry Habanero Chicken Wings 🍓🌶🍗. They’re sticky, fruity, and pack a kick!

🍗 Strawberry Habanero Chicken Wings

🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 2 lbs (900 g) chicken wings, split into drumettes and flats
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Strawberry Habanero Sauce

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, hulled
  • 1–2 habanero peppers, seeded for less heat (or keep seeds for extra heat)
  • ¼ cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt

Optional: chopped cilantro or green onions for garnish

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat oven

  • 400°F (200°C)
  • Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.

2️⃣ Prepare wings

  • Pat wings dry with paper towels.
  • Toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Arrange on the wire rack in a single layer.

3️⃣ Bake wings

  • Bake 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.

4️⃣ Make the strawberry habanero sauce

  • In a blender, combine strawberries, habanero, honey, apple cider vinegar, garlic, and salt.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Pour into a small saucepan and simmer 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5️⃣ Coat the wings

  • Toss baked wings in the warm strawberry habanero sauce until fully coated.

6️⃣ Serve

  • Garnish with chopped cilantro or green onions.
  • Serve immediately with celery sticks or your favorite dipping sauce.

🌟 Tips

  • Adjust habanero quantity to control heat. Start small if you’re sensitive.
  • For extra sticky wings, brush sauce on the wings and broil 1–2 minutes after coating.
  • Can also grill wings instead of baking for smoky flavor.

If you want, I can also give a slow cooker version of strawberry habanero wings that stay juicy and allow the sauce to soak in while cooking.

Do you want me to share that version?
