🧾 Ingredients (serves 3–4)

🫑 Peppers

  • 4 large bell peppers (any color)
    Bell pepper

🍖 Filling

  • 300–400g minced beef or chicken (or chickpeas for veg option)
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 2–3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 cup tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

🧀 Topping

  • ½–1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prepare the peppers

  • Cut tops off bell peppers
  • Remove seeds and membranes
  • Lightly boil or bake for 5–7 minutes to soften (optional)

2. Cook the filling

  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Sauté onion and garlic until soft
  • Add minced meat and cook until browned
  • Stir in tomato sauce, spices, salt, and pepper
  • Add cooked rice and mix well

3. Stuff the peppers

  • Fill each pepper with the mixture
  • Press gently so they are packed

4. Bake

  • Place stuffed peppers in a baking dish
  • Top with cheese
  • Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes

5. Serve

  • Garnish with parsley
  • Serve warm as a main dish
