Here’s a simple, hearty Taco Spaghetti Skillet recipe—kind of a fusion of taco night and pasta, all made in one pan:


🍝 Taco Spaghetti Skillet

🛒 Ingredients

  • 250–300 g spaghetti
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (or chicken)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade)
  • 1 can (400 g) diced tomatoes (with juice)
  • 2 cups beef or chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce (optional, for richer flavor)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt & pepper to taste

🌮 Optional toppings

  • Chopped cilantro
  • Sour cream
  • Sliced jalapeños
  • Crushed tortilla chips

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Cook the meat
    Heat oil in a large skillet. Add ground beef, cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add aromatics
    Stir in onion and garlic, cook 2–3 minutes until softened.
  3. Season it
    Add taco seasoning and mix well.
  4. Build the sauce
    Pour in diced tomatoes, broth, and tomato sauce. Stir to combine.
  5. Add spaghetti
    Break spaghetti in half and add to the skillet. Press it down so it’s mostly submerged.
  6. Simmer
    Cover and cook on medium-low for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
  7. Cheese time
    Sprinkle cheese on top, cover, and let it melt (2–3 minutes).
  8. Serve
    Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!

💡 Tips

  • Add corn or black beans for extra texture.
  • Want it spicy? Add chili flakes or hot sauce.
  • You can swap spaghetti for any pasta you have on hand.
