Banana Vanilla Pudding Trifle

Posted on February 5, 2026 by Admin

Ohhh this one’s cozy and a little fancy—perfect potluck energy 🍌✨
Here’s a Banana Vanilla Pudding Trifle that’s easy, no-stress, and always disappears fast.

Banana Vanilla Pudding Trifle

Ingredients

Pudding Layer

  • 2 (3.4-oz) boxes vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk

Cream Layer

  • 1½ cups heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
or use 1 (8-oz) tub whipped topping for ultra-easy mode

Other Layers

  • 4–5 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 box vanilla wafers or pound cake, cubed

Optional Toppings

  • Crushed vanilla wafers
  • Caramel drizzle
  • White chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. Make the pudding
Whisk pudding mix and cold milk until thick. Chill 5 minutes.
  2. Whip the cream
Beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form
    (skip if using whipped topping).
  3. Layer the trifle
In a large glass bowl or individual cups:

    • Vanilla wafers or cake
    • Banana slices
    • Vanilla pudding
    • Whipped cream
      Repeat layers until everything’s used.
  4. Finish & chill
Top with whipped cream, crushed wafers, or drizzle.
Refrigerate at least 2 hours (overnight is even better).

Pro Tips

  • Toss banana slices lightly in lemon juice to slow browning.
  • For softer wafers, assemble ahead; for crunch, layer closer to serving.
  • Best eaten within 24 hours for peak banana goodness.

Fun Variations

🍫 Add a chocolate pudding layer
🥜 Swirl in peanut butter
🍓 Add strawberries or blueberries
🔥 Splash of rum or bourbon for adults

If you want, I can scale this for a crowd, turn it into a no-bake dessert cup, or give it Southern banana-pudding vibes 😌
