Chicken Skin, Pork Recipes & Chicken Feet Recipe

Here are three delicious recipes using chicken skin, pork, and chicken feet — perfect if you enjoy bold, savory flavors and minimizing food waste.


🐔 Crispy Chicken Skin (Cracklings)

Ingredients

  • Skin from 4–6 chicken thighs (or as available)
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: garlic powder or smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lay chicken skin flat on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Sprinkle lightly with salt and seasonings.
  4. Place another sheet of parchment on top and press with a second baking sheet (keeps skins flat).
  5. Bake 30–40 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Drain on paper towels and cool.

🥩 Simple Garlic Pork Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork shoulder or pork belly, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: sliced onions or bell peppers

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high.
  2. Add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
  3. Add pork and stir-fry until browned and cooked through.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and pepper.
  5. Cook 2–3 more minutes until slightly caramelized.
  6. Serve hot over rice.

🍗 Braised Chicken Feet

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken feet, cleaned and nails trimmed
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 star anise (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Blanch feet in boiling water for 5 minutes; rinse.
  2. Sauté garlic and ginger in oil.
  3. Add chicken feet and seasonings.
  4. Pour in broth to cover; simmer 45–60 minutes until tender.
  5. Finish with sesame oil and reduce sauce slightly.

Texture should be soft and gelatinous.
